Are Docuseal signatures legally valid under eIDAS?
Docuseal produces eIDAS-aligned electronic signatures with a timestamped audit trail per signer. This meets the standard electronic signature (SES) tier under eIDAS, which is legally valid for most commercial contracts in the EU.
Can signing forms collect typed fields alongside signature boxes?
Yes. Template builders support text fields, checkboxes, date pickers, dropdowns, and initials fields in addition to signature boxes, so a single form can capture all required inputs in one round-trip.
Does Docuseal expose a REST API for triggering signature requests programmatically?
Yes, the REST API and webhooks are available on Business and Enterprise plans. You can create envelopes, prefill fields, and receive webhook events when documents are signed or declined.
